Blood Drives are something Your Women In Blue started in 2019. So far, 2 Coldwell Banker #bleedblue blood drives have been done! Each time, more and more donors come to participate. Reilly and Rebecca have learned the hard way how tough it is to get blood donors out. They have also learned how much of a shortage there is! 1 donor SAVES 3 lives.. yes SAVES! If you’re in the Sarnia area and interested in donating, please reach out! Your Women In Blue will be hosting many more in 2020!
Reilly and Rebecca were also featured in REM Magazine for their blood drive events!

Annual Clothing Swap Event is in it’s third year! The next one is set for Friday April 17th, 2020 and it will be hosted at the Coldwell Banker Southwest office on Exmouth street in Sarnia. This event is solely to raise money for a charity of choice and each year we pick a different local charity in need of funding. What is a clothing swap you ask? People donate gently used clothing – women’s, mens and children’s to the designated spot. All the clothing is sifted through and organized. The day of the event, all the donated clothes are set up like a clothing store! People pay at the door and shop! Each person can take up to 10 items and there is food, drinks, live music and a silent auction! All the proceeds raised that night are given to the charity of choice and any left over clothing is donated to various local shelters in need. Mainly the Women’s Interval Home.
In 2018, just over $1,000 was raised and all proceeds and clothing went to the Women’s Interval Home. In 2019, just over $1,500 was raised and donated to the local Huron House Boys Home along with the mens clothing donated. The rest of the clothing went to the Women’s Interval Home, St.Vincent De Paul and Salvation Army. In 2020, our charity of choice will be geared towards Breast Cancer Awareness.
